Sree Chitra Thirunal Smaraka Sangeetha Natya Kalakendram was founded in the year 1992. This kendram is the first educational institution started in the co-operative sector for propagating the memory of His Highness Sree Chithra Thirunal Blarama Varma, the Maharaja of erstwhile Travancore who had taken keen interest in the well being of its aliens as also for promotion of both ancient and modern art.

Natya Kala Kendram gives importance for the study of Kerala art forms. Kendram is conducting regular coaching classes for various dances, music, and musical instruments, thereby giving employment to about 20 unemployed artists.
